It may have taken 10 minutes for the Legends to warm up, but the skills and talent were still evident for all those who were at AMI Stadium in Christchurch on Saturday night to watch the Highlanders Legends play their Crusaders counterparts.

Ably led by John Leslie, the Legends gave as good as they got from a younger red and black outfit.  There were a number of special moments in the 50 minute match and these can be recounted in the many replays that will be viewed on Sky TV’s Rugby Channel over the coming months.

A big thanks to the BNZ and Speight’s for supporting this match and everyone is looking forward to the rematch in 2011 when the ledger will be squared.
